OVERVIEW

  • Essengen-5 NO PG Fast Dry is a professionally formulated, hypoallergenic, non-greasy, fast-drying 5% minoxidil solution. It is suitable for both men and women who are allergic to regular liquid minoxidil products such as Rogaine or Kirkland due to propylene glycol (PG). This formula is completely PG-free, using glycerin as the delivery vehicle to minimize scalp irritation. Approximately 20% of users are sensitive to PG.

    This product is also ideal for users who dislike the greasiness of traditional liquid minoxidil and prefer a clean, fast-drying solution.

    New: Although glycerin-based formulations are often associated with slow absorption and greasiness, we significantly improved this formula to make it dry extremely fast. We are confident this is the fastest-drying and cleanest 5% minoxidil solution (liquid or foam) currently available. It dries even faster than 5% minoxidil foam. This product was previously called Essengen-5 NO PG and was renamed Essengen-5 NO PG Fast Dry in January 2018 after the formulation upgrade.

    If you are looking for a 5% minoxidil–only product (without azelaic acid, finasteride, or other additives) that is clean, non-greasy, fast drying, and suitable for sensitive scalp or skin, this product is an excellent choice. As a liquid solution, it provides better penetration and absorption than minoxidil foam.

Been using for 3 months, hair is much fuller through out. Massive increase in scalp density, can no longer see my skin through my hair. Hairline has a lot of fine regrowth which is slowly getting thicker. I no longer feel I need to wear a hate everywhere.

I have a sensitive scalp and tried countless Minoxidil producers but non worked like the one from MinoxidilMax which produced zero scalp irritation. One year of use and not planning to stop.

I recently started using this product. For the first month, I used minoxidil 5% with PG, but it was slow to dry and left my hair looking a little greasy. As such, I made the switch to Essengen-5 (no PG). It dries very quickly and my scalp does not feel or look greasy after it dries. It is still early, but I am already getting some results. Most of my hair loss has taken place at my temples, with diffuse thinning on my crown. As you can see on my photos, I am already getting small vellus hairs (baby hairs) that have begone to grow on my temples. While I can't really see any new hairs on my crown yet, the region feels a little more fuzzy, so I believe it is beginning to work there as well. Hopefully these vellus hairs will convert to terminal hairs in time. So far I am satisfied with Essengen-5 and the results.

I’ve had some great results so far using this product. I originally tried a product from Keeps that contained PG to later on find out that it is common for people to be allergic to. My head started to itch and got dandruff from it that I now have to treat. Anyways I discovered Minoxidil Max from my local dermatologist, the first 2 months I had some shedding going on which I was aware of that phase starting it up. The hair growth hair improved I am in between months 3-4 now and the shedding has stopped.

I am extremely happy that I found this product because prior to using it I had some terrible pustules on my head and violent itching from using minoxidil with Propylene Glycol. This is a wonderful product and even though I am 72 years old I have seen a continued increase in hair growth every month. Thank you very much! I don't itch anymore! I also gave it to my fiancee and she has experienced hair growth as well.

I was losing my hair from Menopause. Started using this product ESSENGEN-5 3 months ago. I see a wonderful difference. A lot of new hair. Solved my problem! My scalp became uncomfortably itchy and flaky after using regular minoxidil. Works as advertised; Dries quickly, No need for a hairdryer. Regular Rogaine leaves a yellowish stain on pillows and car seats (likely from PG) which this one doesn't!!!!

    I have tried minoxdil from 6 different brands including both Foam / Liquid, but I was highly allergic to all. I spend alot of money trying each one of them and ended up throwing them after 3-5 days of usage.
    But this one worked for me I finally found the one that matches my skin type. I see little allegery but thats bearable for the results that I am getting.

    I finally found the correct formulation

    I have used topical minoxidil for over 10 years. Approximately 9 months ago I noticed significantly more greasiness with the Rogaine, Kirkland and other generic formulations. After searching online I located this product which I have found very useful. There is none of the greasiness that weighted down my extremely fine hair.

    Great products. Have tried may different minoxidil products over the years, but most have caused irritation after 2 weeks or so. Essengen-5, dualgen-5 no pg & dualgen-5 fast dry all work well without causing irritation.

    They dry fast, can use them in the morning without affecting the appearance of my hair.

    With them drying so quickly there can be some buildup but using a shampoo with ketoconazole every week or keeps the scalp clear

    New hair is growing and shedding of old has nearly stopped

    I started using this several months ago after the regular minoxidil made my head itch. This feels fine, goes on easily, dries quickly, and I can still wear my hair as normal. Thus far I have about an inch or more of new growth, and the shedding of old hair has nearly ceased.
