Dualgen-10 Plus is a topical solution that has 10% minoxidil, 0.1% finasteride, 5% azelaic acid and 0.8% ABN Complex^TM. The product comes with a calibrated dropper. It can be used as a spray solution with a sprayer. 

It is effective with once daily application. One unit can last for 2 months. It was formulated with a low amount of propylene glycol (PG, or PPG), the ingredient used in regular minoxidil products that causes scalp irritation.

1. What is the advantage of Dualgen-10 Plus? 

A. Dualgen-10 Plus has at least 3 advantages:

1. Higher strength of minoxidil means better hair regrowth: Minoxidil displays a dose-dependent effect with higher concentrations, improving the responsiveness and greater regrowth of hair.

2. No need to take oral finasteride. Topical finasteride works as effectively as oral version but with lower chance of having side effects.

3. Tackle hair loss issue by multiple mechanisms: In addtion to minoxidil and finasteride, this product also has azelaic acid (natural DHT blocker), ABN complex (vital hair nutrient).

2. Why do you offer this product while you have several other topical minoxidil finasteride products already?

 A: We have several products that have both minoxidil and finasteride, including Essengen-6 Plus (6% minoxidil + 0.05% finasteride), Maxogen-X (7% minoxidil with 0.15% finasteride) and Dualgen-15 With PG Plus, Dualgen-15 NO PG Plus (15% minoxidil plus 0.1% finasteride). People have been asking us for a solution with 10% minoxidil with finasteride for years. We typically instruct them to mix several of our solutions to make it themselves. 

We noticed that not all people are comfortable with mixing different solutions. That is why we decided to offer this premade 10% minoxidil with 0.1% finasteride and 5% azelaic acid solution in Nov, 2022. 

3. How do I choose among your different minoxidil and finasteride products?

In a nutshell, 

If you want to be minimal and your hair loss is not very severe, choose Essengen-6 Plus.

If you want to use a product once a day, choose Maxogen-X.

If you want to have maximum effectiveness, choose Dualgen-15 NO PG Plus or Dualgen-15 With PG Plus. 

The effectiveness of Dualgen-10 Plus is very close to Dualgen-15 Plus products, but it dries faster thus you may find it more user friendly. 

4. Why is Dualgen-10 Plus almost colorless while most of other minoxidilmax products are yellowish?

 A: The yellowish color in other products is due to retinol or retinoic acid. Dualgen-10 Plus does not have retinol or retinoic acid. Essengen-6 Plus and Essengen-5 NO PG Fast Dry are almost colorless too due to the absence of retinol and retinoic acid. 

5. How often should Dualgen-10 Plus be used?

 A: Use the included dropper to apply up to 1 ml to the hair loss area in the evening. If the product does not work for you after consistently using it for 3 months with once a day application, you can apply this solution twice a day with one application in the morning, and the other in the evening given that you didn't have any side effects from minoxidil or finasteride. 

If you prefer spray application, you can purchase a sprayer from our store. Five pumps of the sprayer dispenses approximately 1ml of solution. However, we highly advise against using a sprayer and suggest using a dropper instead (which is included in the product), particularly if you have long or relatively dense hair. Spraying may lead to excessive solution being wasted on the hair instead of being delivered to the scalp.

6. How soon can I see results?

 A: It usually takes 3 to 6 months to see hair regrowth. Some people may see improvement in as short as 1.5 months. If  you do not see any improvement in 6 months, this product is probably not for you and you should consider stronger solutions such as Dulagen-15 NO PG Plus.

7. Will I have any shedding if I have used regular 5% minoxidil for quite some time?

 A: Most people who switched from regular 5% minoxidil to Dualgen-10 Plus do NOT experience minoxidil shedding. About 20% of such users have initial shedding but recover later because of strong regrowth.

8. Can you tell me the solvent composition of your product?

A. The solvent consists of Purified Water, Ethanol, and propylene glycol. We can't give the ratio of the solvents as it is our trade secret.

We have done extensive experiments to optimize the solvent composition to ensure our products have the optimal absorption, usability and effectiveness. 

9. I have heard high strength minoxidil is not stable. Is your product stable?

 A: The stability of a high strength minoxidil 10% with finasteride 0.1% depends on how it is compounded.

If properly compounded, it has pretty decent stability. We have done stability study. It shows that It is stable for at least 3 years.

Please be advised that all minoxidil products should be stored at room temperature. Crystallization may occur if it is stored in a refrigerator, which is particularly true for high strength minoxidil like the product listed here. We have noticed that crystallization does occur occasionally during the shipping on cold days. 

If crystals are formed in a minoxidil solution, you can warm your product bottle in hot water and shake the bottle for a few minutes to dissolve the crystals.

10. Do you have anything stronger than Dualgen-10 Plus?
